Water Polo

Jump In and Join the Fun!

Farmstead Swim and Racquet Club has competed in the Naperville Subdivision Summer Water Polo League since 2000. The team and the league have grown and established a strong following. Our past girls teams have placed first in the city championship and also finished second place two consecutive years. Our coed team has placed as high as second in the city championship.

Water Polo is the fastest growing aquatic sport in America. It emphasizes swimming ability, conditioning, ball skills and teamwork. It also involves concepts similar to soccer and basketball.

Our club has three water polo teams:
11 and under coed team
14 and under all girls team
14 and under boys (coed) team

Bondholders have registration priority and there is a limit of players. A player must be able to swim 25 yards freestyle without assistance and be able to tread water for a long period of time. This is a developmental league. The rules and skills will be taught.

Games and practice dates do not conflict with the swim team. Practices and games are on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday during June and July. Farmstead host games at the pool as well. Parent volunteers are needed to run the clock and keep track of scoring.
