At this time, we are accepting applications for lifeguards for the upcoming pool season! Whether you are a returning guard or a new guard we are looking for dedicated, hardworking, and kind individuals for a variety of positions. Applications are available on the FSRC website or by clicking the following link – Guard Application. A complete list of the job responsibilities can be found on the following link – Job Responsibilities. All applications are due by Friday, March 10th at 11:59 PM and Noor will start reaching out to applicants soon thereafter.
In order to be a lifeguard, you need to be lifeguard and CPR certified. Certification and recertification information is at the bottom of the email.
This year, a new position will be offered, front desk. This position will only work in the evenings and does not require lifeguard/CPR certification.
Please note: All guards under the age of 16 will be required, by law, to have a work permit and it must be submitted to management prior to the beginning of the season. Work permits can be issued by the local high school, the nearest Regional Office of Education (ROE) and the Illinois Department of Labor.

Certification Information:
In order to be a lifeguard, you need to be lifeguard and CPR certified. The certification class is available through the Red Cross as well as NCHS and NNHS (takes the place of P.E.).
If you are interested in taking the certification class, then interested individuals will need to sign-up for it through the Red Cross or Ellis.
If you are a returning lifeguard, then please check the expiration of your lifeguarding and CPR certificates. You may need to be recertified. If you need to be recertified, then contact Bill Salentine at NCHS or find a recertification class on the Red Cross website.
